This beautiful Georgian farmhouse near Wincanton in Somerset offers luxury, boutique bed and breakfast in a quiet and peaceful countryside location.

The large and imposing Somerset farmhouse, dating back to about 1705, has been lovingly restored, and offers elegance, with light rooms and lofty ceilings.

It is decorated in a traditional English country house style, with antique furniture, pictures, flowers, and abundant books. It is a wonderful escape, to relax...

It is surrounded by fields and woodland and is situated in a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. There are binoculars to enable guests to appreciate the wealth of different birds and animals that live in the area surrounding Charlton Musgrove.

Once a 6-acre field, the formal garden has been created from scratch. There are now mature trees from the landscape, lawn areas with traditional yew hedging, mown paths, avenues, and a small orchard. Beyond, sheep graze in the meadow, and the eye is drawn to a spinney planted in the distance.

Enjoy tea & homemade cake on arrival, and in winter, before a blazing log fire.

All the large double bedrooms have supremely comfortable beds, and magnificent uninterrupted views over the surrounding Somerset countryside, all the way to the Stourhead Estate.

Rectory Farm House is set in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and is close to Bath, Salisbury and Wells. It is surrounded by a wealth of classic English gardens and houses such as Stourhead, Montacute, Tintinhull, Longleat, Lytes Carey and Barrington Court. Wincanton Racecourse is close by. Glastonbury Tor, Cheddar Gorge and the Somerset Levels are a short distance away.
